Day 1: Leave Nairobi for Arusha
Early in the morning, we pick you up from your Hotel or Airport and drive to Arusha in Tanzania. Upon Arrival in Arusha you get to meet one of our representatives who will brief you on Safari. You spend your night at a luxurious hotel in Arusha
Day 2: Leave Arusha for Marangu Park
We pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Marangu Park through Moshi. From this point, you hike for 3 hours to Mandara Hut where you will cover about 9 Kilometres . At this point you have reached 2774 meters above sea level. You spend your first overnight at Mount Kilimanjaro.
Day 3: From Mandara to Horombo
Leave Mandera for Horombo Hut. An average hiking time of 8 hours, have your lunch on the way. Mawenzi and Kibo peaks can be seen (in clear weather). Spend your dinner and overnight at 3760 m.
Day 4: from Horombo to Kibo
After an early morning breakfast, hike for 6 hours (13 Km) from Horombo to Kibo; 4,732m above sea level. Enjoy spectacular mountain vegetation view such as lobelia, cactus and also groundsel
Day 5: Kibo to Horombo through Gilman’s point and Uhuru Peak
You wake up at around 2.00am, for pre-down attempt of the summit. It usually takes 5 Hours to Gilman’s Point 5680 Metres above sea Level. From this point, it takes about 1 Hour to Summit the Uhuru Peak; the highest point in Africa. 5896m above sea level, descend to the Horombo Hut for supper and overnight.
Day 6: Leave Horombo for Arusha
After breakfast, descend through mandara to Marangu Park. You will drive to Arusha to catch up with your minivan that will drive you to Nairobi. You arrive in Nairobi in the early evening
