#489 | We booked with JT safaris in the UK before travelling to Mombassa and I can honestly say it was the best decision and Julius's prices beat other tour operators in the area. We paid an initial deposit by transferring monies into his business account and met him when we were in Mombassa. We did a 3 day, two nights safari in Tsavo East and West. Our driver Abul was brilliant, he was very knowledgeable and saw animals/birds that other tour operators whizzed past. He was a very good driver, as driving in Kenya is an experience in itself!! Abul got us into a superb position so a lioness sat 3 metres away from our vehicle!!Absolutely brilliant. We stayed at Ashil Aruba and Kilaguni Serena, both fabulous locations with fabulous food. At Ashil we sat on our terrace watching giraffes grazing the acacia tree about 7 metres away, and then the elephants came to play, as well as a comical troop of baboons and some water bucks.. brilliant. Kilaguni Serena has an absolutely jaw dropping panoramic view as you walk into the front door and into the restaurant. This also has a water hole to cap it off where numerous animals came to drink.... lions, zebras, impalla, baboons, wart hogs, ostriches. As we left Kilaguni Serena, we were first away and as we drove over the airstrip, Abul spotted a pregnant cheetah walking across the runway. A beautiful and graceful animal. Thank you for your keen eyes Abul!! We had a problem with our mastercard credit card at one of the lodges, but Julius paid the balance and we paid him a few days after we returned from our safari. Also we tried to cash travellers cheques at the local Barclays bank, and they would not cash them!! Julius arranged for us to go to his private/business bank (the public do not have access to this bank!) and we cashed the travellers cheques here... it was like Fort Knox! A thank you to driver Michael who was very knowledgeable and drove us around Mombassa and to the wood carving workshop. Lastly a big thank you to Julius and Abul for making our safari so enjoyable, something that we and our children will remember for ever and we will be back to do more safaris with Julius and his team.

#488 | Wij zijn net terug gekomen van onze vakantie in Kenia. We hebben een 3 daagse safari geboekt naar Tsavo East & West via Julius. Onze chauffeur George was erg goed, hij kon van veraf de dieren ontdekken en op sporen. Onze accommodatie in Tsavo east was Asnhil Aruba lodge een goed hotel met goed eten en in West hebben we overnacht in Severin Safari Lodge, dit was een geweldige ervaring. Omdat dit hotel niet omheind is kunnen alle dieren dicht bij je tent komen en ze komen 's avonds naar een van de drie drinkplaatsen. Vanaf je veranda kun je dit allemaal aanschouwen. Wij raden iedereen aan om via Julius een safari te boeken, het scheelt een hoop geld met de Touroperators en je hebt altijd een privé safari.

#487 | We returned from Kenya two days ago. Following the recommendations from this site and other people, we came to Julius "orange box", situeated just in front of our hotel SENTIDO NEPTUN, and arranged a 3 day safari to Masai Mara and a 1 day trip to Mombassa.
The Safari was really amazing and we must thank Julius for providing such a wonderful time.
Polecamy wszystkim Polakom tego miłego człowieka, który sprawił, że pokochaliśmy Afrykę, przyrodę i jesteśmy pod wrażeniem uprzejmości jej mieszkańców. Profesjonalnie zorganizowana wyprawa, wraz z przelotem małym samolotem i pobytem we wspaniałym Governors Camp. Wycieczka do Mombassy eleganckim samochodem z miłym kierowcą i spacer po centrum z przewodnikiem. Wszystko grało a co zaskakujące, za wycieczki płaciliśmy po powrocie, kiedy też otrzymaliśmy śliczne prezenty od Juliusza.

#486 | We returned from Kenya two weeks ago. Following the recommendations from this site and others, we had booked a 3 day 2 night safari to Tsavo East and West through Julius (Julius Tact Safaris) in advance before leaving the UK. We transferred the deposit monies in advance and then on our arrival in Kenya contacted Julius and completed the final arrangements at his office (orange buliding/shack!) near our hotel (Papillon Lagoon).
The Safari was amazing and we must thank Julius and our driver Tito for providing such a wonderful time. The two lodges that we stayed out (Ashnil Aruba and Kilaguni) were both superb. Tito was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable managing to spot many animals that we would not have seen. The highlight was on our final morning when he picked out the leopard which the other tour companies and guides had all missed!
Whilst on safari, Julius called us to check that we were all ok, and when we arrived back home he very kindly gave us some wood carved animals. Before we left Kenya, we visited a local orphanage and bush doctor and had a tour of Ukunda. Julius organised all of this for us through Patrick, one of the taxi drivers he uses, who was very helpful.
We can throughly recommend Julius for any safari and any local trips.

#485 | Just returned from a two week break in Kenya, incorporating a three-day, two-night Tsavo East and West safari. We booked with Julius T before going having undertaken a LOT of internet research. We were not disappointed! He was less expensive than our Tour Firm's similar options and his choice of hotels was fantastic - Ashnil Aruba is lovely, but Kilaguni Lodge is spectacular. We saw a huge number of animals, got some great photos and had a great time throughout. David, our driver was very knowledgeable and courteous and always happy to stop whenever animals were spotted. He knew both parks very well and spotted far more animals and birds than we did - despite driving as well! Very enjoyable and thoroughly recommended - thanks Julius and David!

#484 | Although it's easier to book a safari via your travel agent or with the hotel's recommended provider, booking with JT Safaris you get a private safari all to your self at a lower cost with a guide who is far more than just a driver. We did the 3 night/4 day safari to Tsavo East/West and Amboseli and I can safely say it was unforgettable. Our driver, Geoff, was a great guy, very knowledgeable and spotted many things I would have driven straight past. Indeed, many of the other safari providers whizzed past us at speed without seeing one of the deadliest snakes in the world at the roadside or some other well-hidden wildlife. What you see is pot luck of course, but the service provided by JT was outstanding, the guide superb, the lodges amazing, and the only downside was that we had to go home when it was all over. Thoroughly recommended - put your money in the pockets of the local businessmen who care about their customers and the wildlife they're so rightly proud of rather than the big hotel chains. Next year, I'm already looking forward to doing it again and will be speaking to Julius soon to make it happen.

#483 | Begin augustus hebben wij met onze 3 jonge kinderen Kenia bezocht. We logeerden aan de kust (Diani Beach) in het Southern Palms Beach Resort en hebben een 2-daagse safari in Tsavo East geboekt via Julius Safaris. Wij kwamen bij Julius via zijn site op internet en eenmaal in Kenia werden we direct teruggebeld. Een plezierig en professioneel contact vanaf het eerste moment. Wij hebben 2 dagen met ons gezin in een busje met chauffeur alle prachtige dieren gezien. Onze chauffeur George was een uitstekende gids, een goede spotter van wild, maar bovenal ook heel vriendelijk. Wij logeerden in de Ashnil Aruba lodge. Een luxe lodge van alle gemakken voorzien, een zeer gastvrije staff en goed eten. Al met al een supersafari, mede ook te danken aan de uitstekende gids die ons op weg naar het park ook veel vertelde over het leven in Kenia. Julius komt professioneel over en stelt alles in het werk om zijn klanten de excursie van hun leven te bezorgen. Bij een volgend bezoek aan Kenia verzorgt Julius wederom onze safari, een goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding en vooral een betrouwbaar adres.

#482 | We hebben een 3-daagse safari Tsavo east/west en een dagtocht naar Wasini via Julius geboekt. alles was prima geregeld. Voordat we vertrokken naar Kenia hadden we via e-mail met Julius al afspraken gemaakt en toen we aankwamen zijn we de dag na onze aankomst in ons hotel door een driver van Julius opgehaald om op zijn kantoor alles definitief door te spreken. De safari was geweldig, we logeerden in Ngulia lodge en Voi lodge, beide hebben een geweldige ligging. We hebben heel veel dieren gezien en onze driver Carlos was een superscherpe spotter. Het was onvergetelijk. De dagtocht naar Wasini is ook geweldig, je gaat snorkelen bij Kisiti, adembenemend en je ziet dolfijnen, wij hebben er zelfs me kunnen zwemmen. Kenia heeft ons hart gestolen, en wij kunnen Julius zeker aanbevelen om hier je safari bij te boeken. hij maakt zijn beloften waar!!

#481 | We did the 3 day masa mara, words cant descibe how amazing it was ... you name it we seen it!
Julius is an amazing man and will do everything in his power to make your trip a trip of a lifetime. unfortunatly my husband was ill whilst on safari, julius called us to check we were ok, helped us with our medical bill and has now took that accomadation off his list ... to me this is an amazing service that you would not get in england!
We would highly reccommend Julius Safaris...do watch out though because there are alot of people saying they work for him and they dont!! I would contact him on his direct number or email to make sure you get the right man ... look out for the orange hut and you will be in the right place :-)

#480 | We did two safari with Julius Safaris. Two night Tsavo East and West which was very very good and then the two night Masai Mara, which was incredible.
My advice, if you can afford the extra, do the Masia Mara particularly in August for the migration.
Both safaris were high quality and excellent value.
Oh and confusion over the real Julius is eveywhere. This is the REAL Julius and in Diani beach if you're in an Orange shack you've made it to the right place.
